Fibromyalgia aid is offered.

A Derby woman who has a chronic condition that causes pain in the muscles and ligaments, and fatigue, is setting up a support group for other people with the same illness.

Jackie Banton was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in January last year.

She said: "I eventually got the opportunity to go on a pain-management programme at the pain clinic at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary.

It was then that I realised that Derby needed a support group, so other sufferers could benefit from what I learned."

the first meeting will be held next Thursday at Devonshire House, Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
