Shopmobility

What is Shopmobility?

Shopmobility is a service which provides electrical powered scooters, wheel chairs and manual wheel chairs on a daily or hourly basis for people who have limited mobility, enabling them to shop and use the facilities of the City Centre.

Who can use the service?

Anyone with limited mobility, whether you are elderly, suffer from a temporary disablement such as a sporting injury, etc. or suffer a permanent disability, we can help you!

How can I become a member?

Anyone wishing to join will be asked to complete a registration form and produce two forms of identification. Our staff will provide the necessary training and information to ensure you are confident using the services offered by Derby Shopmoblility.

How to book a vehicle

Just telephone our office on 01332 200320 to make sure the item you need is available or, if you prefer, call in and make a booking.

To avoid disappointment, it is advisable to book in advance.

Our membership increases almost daily and currently stands at over 3000, so our vehicles are often out twice or more daily.

When can I use Derby Shopmobility?

We are open Monday to Saturday, from 9.30am to 4.30 pm. We also have an answer-phone if you wanted to leave a message during closed hours.

Is there a charge?

Derby Shopmobility is a charity, however a small charge is made for using powered scooters but manual wheel chairs are free. Also there is a donation box and your contributions are gratefully accepted.
