Pages within wiki sites are categorised very easily by adding the [[Category:CategoryName]] tag to each page. On this site there are a lot of categories already, and that's BEFORE anyone other than me has put content on!
If you want to add personal content then I suggest that you categorise it under an umbrella category that will be unique to you. For example all of the articles that relate directly to me are categorised under the DaveH category. This makes is easy to jump to your content by adding a bookmark to that category page or by creating a hyperlink from within your User page. It will also make it easier for the sysops to link to a featured user's content by linking to that page.
I recommend using the free text space on your umbrella category page to link to what you consider the best articles under your umbrella. That way other users can get a quick listing of the highlights rather than having to look through your whole list. This is especially recommended if you end up with LOTS of pages!
Remember also that you can have subcategories under your umbrella category. These will be listed separately on the umbrella category page and again will make it easier for others to navigate your content.
