I mean honestly, it's the most simple of concepts!
I had sooo many other things I wanted to put in a blog post this week. Michael Jackson's death and all the coverage at the expense of soooo many other things for one. So many good bands and singers I have recently found/been made aware of. So many other things!
However, after a loooong discussion on my Facebook page, I am truly shocked by the sheer inability of even the most educated and intelligent people to be able to use this elementary aspect of the English language correctly!
Yes, Giles, I'm looking at you.
Anyway. To save a huge rant and prevent high blood pressure, here's a picture that says a thousand words:
Oh, and whilst I'm at it, DEFINITELY is the correct way to spell DEFINITELY. Not definately or any other numpty spellings.
I shall now wait for the chorus of "ooh, I'm dyslexic".
Now you've got that out of your system, can I just say that NO YOU AREN'T!!* Most of you are just bloody lazy people who can't be arsed to think about how to spell something and type so fast without checking before posting or pressing enter. Even if you ARE dyslexic, what's wrong with using a bloody spellchecker?? You obviously KNOW you are dyslexic and are aware of it enough to be able to tell everyone that you're dyslexic? Why aren't you aware enough to use the spellchecker or get someone to check it for you? Laziness, that's why.
Grr.
Rant over. Next blog will hopefully be less irritated.
