Selezen is my online persona. That basically means it's the name I use for online forums and the like. The Person Go see my facebook account My chosen career is computers, but within that realm I have experienced a lot of different areas. I started off dabbling with computers after receiving my first computer, a Commodore VIC20, when I was 10. I progressed from that to a Sinclar Spectrum +2 then an Amiga 500. I went to university whilst still an A500 user and was forced to get a home PC for university coursework, which is when I started to really learn programming. I started work in the computer industry as a telephone advisor for Dixons Stores Group (you know, the company behind PC World, Dixons and Currys) and progressed from answering computer queries to developing software for use within the call centre. From there I started working for the NHS as a web development manager, managing a team of programmers writing web sites for the NHS organisations in Derbyshire. After three years there I recently left and started working for a small company called Laser Rail who have just been acquired by Balfour Beatty, one of the largest engineering firms in the UK. I help to maintain measurement software for them. In my home life I am married with three lovely stepchildren. My wife suffers from a condition called Fibromyalgia and my eldest stepson David suffers from ADHD. In my spare time I try to write stories, but so far all I've really managed to do is plan some. I also build paper and plastic models and do lots of 3D design. I also try to play games, most notable Elite and its clones (especially Oolite, which I design ships for). Dave's Top Links
The PersonaSelezen is me online. I don't have an opinion of myself as an online presence but I know that I probably come across as quite opinionated. The worldwide view of Selezen (tiny and inconsequential though it is) is something I shall leave to others to describe... Selezen is active on the following forums:
